About Hive Taranaki

Liveable Communities ~ Sustainable Lifestyles...

Mana Whenua, Mana Tangata, Manaaki.

Our mission is to facilitate systemic change to achieve sustainable communities.

Hive Taranaki is the trading name for the Taranaki Enviromental Education Trust, a charitable trust which has been working for Taranaki since 1992.

At Hive Taranaki, we identify key projects and opportunities that will make the biggest contribution towards creating sustainable communities in Taranaki, and we make them happen.

At our bio-regional HQ in New Plymouth, we manage a range of projects including the Hive Environment Centre, Enviroschools Program, Sustainable Living Program, The Hive Radio Show, and the Maara Kai project. Our Connex youth development program operates from a base in Eltham.
