The ReGeneration project is an independent network for young New Zealander's who are working to create positive change in their communities, workplaces, families, schools and natural environments. Members support each others' work through regular projects and collaborations, annual events and online networks.

The ReGeneration project is an ongoing work in progress. It is an attempt to develop a new and very different way of learning: one that is up to the task of dealing with the very new and different set of challenges that young people face today. From the personal to the global - climate change, economic instability, radical population growth, peak oil, and massive income and resource inequity are changing the way we think and act in the world. These  are complex and holistic problems. If we are to heal these problems, rather than simply trying to manage them, we need our young people to be thinking in complex and holistic ways.

The ReGeneration project was launched at the February 2009 with the support of many individuals and partner organisations (see our partners). Since then we have convened a regular series of ReGeneration workshops and regional “Youth Jams”. Many of these have been organised in close cooperation with the Enviroschools network while others are organised more independently. At all our workshops we meet literally hundreds of amazing young New Zealanders who are looking for that illusive combination of support and challenge necessary to step into the adult world.
