The Friends of Te Henui (FROTH) was formed in September 2008 with the aim to provide a community 'voice' for the Te Henui Valley, New The Friends of Te Henui (FROTH) was formed in September 2008 with the aim to provide a community 'voice' for the Te Henui Valley.
OUR GOALS:
- Enhance the natural beauty of the area by assisting Parks staff with maintenance.
- Assist in identifying and highlighting plant collections.
- Identify the local New Plymouth flora and list their individual information on this web site.
- Identifying the local fauna and list their individual information on this web site.
- Identify and highlight historical features in the valley.
- Develop a photographic bank of copyright free images of all flora, fauna and features in the valley for use by schools etc..
- Work with Forest and Bird Society and DOC to conserve the natural values.
Friends of Te Henui Walkway Working Bees are every Thursday morning.
