Connex

Connex is a youth development programme funded by the Ministry of Youth Development. It is available to local youth between the ages of 16-24years. The programme caters for all learning styles and engages young people to further their development through recreation, team building and hands-on activities. Participants gain essential life and job seeking skills to assist the transition from school into employment or further education. Links to local training organisations provide opportunities to continue to upskill.Most participants are referred through WINZ and Youth Transition Services but anyone is welcome to self refer. In 2012 we hope to increase our community focus by becoming involved in existing community projects and volunteering our time and services to local organisations and causes. |
